The bar chart illustrates the amount of energy generated by wind in four different countries, namely India, Germany, Denmark, and the US between 1985 and 2000.

Overall, it is notable that there was an upward trend of the amount of energy generated by wind in the most of countries over the period given. The US recorded the highest amount of energy generation in every year, except for 2000.

With regard to the US energy produced by wind, it was a significant increase from around 1200 megawatts in the first year to about 1600 megawatts in the following 5 years before dropping slightly to 1500 megawatts in 2000. Meanwhile, the figure for Denmark stood at 250 megawatts in 1985 and then rose to above 1500 megawatts in 2000, which was equivalent to that of United States in 1995.

On the other hand, there was the gradual growth of the amount of energy developed by wind in Germany, rising from about 400 megawatts in 1985 to almost 1000 megawatts in the final year. Likewise, the figure for India also increased moderately from around 200 megawatts in the beginning to around 1200 megawatts in 2000.
