Overall, the United States not only dominated the chart throughout the period illustrated but also reached the highest point, a peak that was matched by Denmark.
The highest point among all countries was reached by both the US and Denmark, at 450 MW in 1990 and 2000, respectively. The US also maintained the leading position in 1985 and 1995, producing roughly 1,200 MW and nearly 1,500 MW in the same order. However, in 2000 Denmark recorded an exceptional figure, surpassing not only the US but also all other countries, including India and Germany. While Denmark reached its all-time peak in 2000, it was outperformed by Germany in 1985 and 1990, when Germany generated higher amounts than Denmark’s 225 MW and 450 MW, respectively.
India showed a steady upward trend from 1985 to 2000. Its energy generation rose from 225 MW in 1985 to around 440 MW in 1990, before reaching roughly 850 MW by 2000. Germany followed a similar pattern in the earlier years, producing nearly 450 MW in 1985 and approximately 700 MW in 1990. In 1995, Germany’s figure matched India’s output for that year, but by 2000 Germany recorded the lowest value among all countries, at just 900 MW.
