The bar chart shows how many average hours were spent on 6 different activities by 2 age groups in the USA in 2015.
Focusing on the desirable activities for both age groups, people aged 75 or over spent average 4.5 hours per day on watching tv, which was the highest figure on the chart, making it twice as high as that of people aged 15-19. By contrast, the reverse was true for playing games, where young people aged 15-19 allocated 1,1 hours a day, doubling older people. Interestingly, both groups spent almost the same hours on socializing, approximately 0.8 hours.
If we look at the remaining activities, which were less popular, people aged 75 and over spent 0.6 hours on relaxing and an hour on reading, while these figures were significantly fewer for young people, with the respective figures of 0.1 and 0.2. However, people aged 15-19 engaged more in sport amd recreation, spending half an hour, which was third times as high as those of older people aged 75 or over.
Overall, older people spent relatively higher amount of time on activities which requires less energy, while young people were more active on outdoor and modern activities.
