The bart chart gives information about how much time spent per day for sport and free time activities by youngest and oldest generation in America in 2015. Overall, it can be seen that watching TV was most popular avtivity in both age groups while relaxing and thinking was least pastime.
Older people spared more time for spare time activities such as watching tv, reading and relaxing/thinking. Those who aged 75 and over watched tv for 4.5 hours a day while youner group spent 2.5 hours for this activity. Reading was second-lead in among olders with 1 hour while those who aged 15-19 read only 15 minutes per day. Relaxing and thinking was least time allocated activity in older and younger group, respectively half an hour and 10 minutes.
In the remaining pastimes young generation was dominated on spent hours. Youngers’ playing games and computer use was 1 hour twice of the elders’ average time. Young group’s average sport exercises and recreation time was over 30 minutes but this figure was less than 15 minutes for those aged over 75. Socializing and communicating showed similar results, with younger people’s dominance above 45 minutes.
