The bar chart presents the average hours worked per day by husbands and wives in paid employment for aged 24-44 and 45-66. It is devided into two ages in order to pictured the more productive age is 24-44 and lower productive age is 45-66.
As the result, it shows total married men aged 24-44 need almost 10 hours worked, in which almost 7 hours for paid work and 3 hours unpaid work at home. In contrast, at aged 45-66, hours worked for unpaid work at home decrease significantly into 2 hours and paid work constantly at 7 hours.
Different with married men, women use around 6 hours for all ages. They also use 4.5 up to 5 hours for unpaid work at home. Wives more steady use their hours worked.
In general, paid work for both husbands and wives use more than 5 hours worked in paid employment. Husbands aged 45-64 are the lowest hours worked. It disclose that wives at any ages more productive than husbands.
