Looking from an overall perspective, it can be seen that the cost of clothing imports from most countries decrease in 2003 compared to 1997, except for China, India, and Bangladesh. Argentina had the highes average price in both years, while Bangladesh had the lowest.
According to diagram, in 1997, Argentina charge about 27 per kilo, which slightly dropped to 25 in 2003. Brazil also showed a decrease, with prices falling from 22 to 20 during the same period. Japan followed a similar trend, reducing its prices from around 15 to 12.
On the other hand, the price of clothing from China increase from about 10 in 1997 to 15 in 2003. India also experienced a slight rise, with prices going up from 8 to 10. Bangladesh, with the cheapest prices, raised its rates from 5 in 1997 to around 7 in 2003.
