In general, we can clearly see that Argentina had the highest prices over the period given, while Bangladesh had the cheapest option. Another notable feature is that the prices in Brazil remained unchanged throughout the years, which is an exception among other countries.
In terms of actual numbers, there is a similar trend among three countries (China, India, Bangladesh), with the average price experiencing a growth from 1993 to 2003. In 2003, China’s cost rose to about 17% from 10%, India’s to around 12% from 7%, and Bangladesh’s to just over 5% from 3% respectively. Argentina and Japan appear not to follow this pattern, as they indicate a downward trend with their indexes falling from approximately 27% to slightly above 25% and from 35% respectively to nearly 33%. When it comes to Brazil, it reached a plateau at 23% and didn’t show a change after that.
