The chart beneath provides information about the range of crime that happened in different areas of Glasgow city between 2003 and 2012.
Overall, it is clear that burglary has decreased dramatically whereas robbery crime remained stable throughout the whole period with minor change. However, an increase has also occurred, the car theft has increased steadily.
In 2003 burglary increased up to almost 3300 from approximately 2700 in 2005 and 2 years later dramatically decreased to close to 1100 and rose slightly and accounted sharply for 1500 in 2012. Meanwhile, robbery level was constant at 500 nearly all the years with marginal growth in 2007 where the robbery level was over 500 before becoming stable again.
In contrast to the steady and dramatic decrease the robbery and burglary have experienced, the amount of car theft has experienced a minor decrease in 2003 before it was increased up to 2500 after 9 years.
To sum up, car theft occurred the most in Glasgow city whereas burglary and robbery decreased and remained stable.
