Crimes did not follow a common trend; however, they were independent of each other. For instance, the burglary significantly declined by the end of the examined period compared to car theft which, in fact, increased in the same period. On the other hand, robbery showed no change comparing the start the end of the analyzed timeline, hence, 2003 and 2012.
Looking deeper at the data presented, we can observe and slight increase in burglary activity in the first year before it starts to fall significantly in the period between 2004 and 2008. However, after the sharp decline the recorded crimes of the same type increased throughout the next year before it nearly plateaus from 2009 until the end of the covered period.
Analyzing the statistics presented from another perspective, we can see a fluctuation in car theft activity. The trend was like all other crimes showing a slight increase in car theft activity for the first year analyzed. However, it only declined between the period 2004 to 2006. After that it fluctuated for the next 6 years, ending at a higher number by 2012.
