Overall, the birth rate for women aged 30-35, and 35-39 saw a growth. Meanwhile, the birth rate in groups 20-25, under 20, and 40 and over declined over time. In contrast with others, group 25-29 experienced some fluctuations, but generally decreased.
Focusing on rising trajectories, women at age 30-35 started at roughly 71 births per thousand and rose steadily to around 85. By contrast, group 35-39 showed a rapid growth between 1988 and 1998 from nearly 41 births per thousand to approximately 63 birth, and was relatively stable during the rest of the period.
Regarding downward trends, group aged 20-25 decreased from roughly 125 to 91.The birth rate of women under 20 years also went down from 60 to 40 births per thousand, whereas group 40 and over dwindled from 20 to approximately 10. Group 25-29 dropped from 140 to 120 between 1973 and 1983, after which recovered moderately to about 135 births per thousand women. Eventually, it fell to 118 in 1998 and remained stable until the end of the period.
