The given line chart represents data on the variations occurring in three separate areas of offence between 2003 and 2012.

Overall, burglary and car theft saw the major changes over the whole period, while robbery experienced the least variations.

As seen from the chart, burglary was the most common crime in 2003. It grew significantly from 3400 incidents in 2003 to about 3700 incidents in 2004 and reached the highest point. However, it went down dramatically to 1200 number of incidents in 20080. However, there was a slight increase to just below 1500 incidents in 2009. After that, it remained almost constant at the same level from 2009 to 2012.

The figure for car theft levelled off at 2800 incidents between 2003 and 2005 before declining steeply to about 2000 incidents in 2006. Then there was a gradual increase with some slight fluctuations and it reached the same level in 2012 as it had been in 2003.

Robbery was the least common crime over the whole period. It started with only 1200 incidents in 2003 and ended up with the same in 2012.
