The graph illustrates the distribution of total sales in a drug company across three different regions between 2002 and 2006.
Overall, there was a noticeable upward trend in the percentage of Asia, while America showed an opposite scenario. Moreover, Europe remained relatively stable over the period.
Looking at the graph in more detail, in 2002, America accounted for the highest proportion of sales in comparison with the other regions, at 40%, which was about one and a half times that of Asia. However, America witnessed a gradual decrease of just over 10% in the next two years before rising minimally to 30% in the last year. In addition, the figure for Europe during the time surveyed fluctuated from 30% to nearly 40% and in 2006, it had the same percentage as America.
Taking Asia into consideration, the contribution of this continent grew throughout the period. Starting at a quarter of total sales, it increased steadily and by 2006, it had seen the largest percentage among the three regions, at just under 40%. In 2006, this area reached a peak at 40% in total sales of the drug company.
