The line chart provides information relating to how Australian civilians lived in different places of the world from 1976 to 2011.
Overall, there was a small increase in the total proportion of Australian people, which was the result of decreases in the figures for Asia and other areas. While there was a rise in the share of Australian citizens living in Asia and other places, a reverse trend was seen in the UK.
Only approximately 15% of Australian inhabitants were in the UK in 1976, followed by a final remarkable drop to 5% in 2011. Furthermore, the total share of Australian people who were in different areas started at about 24%, after which slightly fell to just over 20% in the first 25 years, before suddenly growing to precisely 25% in 2011.
About 11% of Australian residents were classified in other areas, with a subsequent fluctuation in the range from merely 8% to about 15% and a final drop to roughly 14% over the given timeframe. A similar change, but to a greater extent, was witnessed in Asia, climbing from just under 5% to reach a peak at 15% over the given period.
