The line graph illustrates the percentage of variation in income between men and women from 1978 to 2008 in five countries named Japan,US,France,UK and Australia.
Overall it can cristal clearly be seen that ,all countries except Australia showed decline in the percentage difference from 1978 to2008. Australia has presented steady decline up to 1998 and rapid elevation from there to 2008.
Gettig back to the details. In 1978, both France and Australia percentage difference is slightly below 20% which has gone down steadily up to 1998.After 1998, it was raised above 20% in Australia and France has gone down slightly more lower than the level in 1978.
UK & US has showed the same pattern ,although the initial level at 1978 was below 30% in UK and above 30% in US. Both of these levels has reached to the almost same level in 2008 that is slightly below the level of earning difference in UK in1978.
Japan has had the highest percentage difference level of all countries which was in between 45% to 50% in 1978.That has been declined to the level litle bit more then 40% in the year of 2008
