The supplied illustration enumerates the amount proportion of contrast in salary between male and female in five contries between 1978 and 2008. The chart compares the in salary of male and women in five different countries.

in general, income gap of all contries decreased except Australia. although difference in eranings in Japan declined it was higher comparing to other 4 contries.Initially figures of France were higher than Australia. However, they switched places in the end and France took the last place amoung 5 contries.

Firstly, in three contries Japan, US, UK were decreased in decade also, in Japan between men and women salary were the highest compared to these contries. Japan decreased gradually from around a half in 1978 to 45% in 1988. US was higher than UK. Additionally, from 1998 to 2008 UK and US experienced the same trend with only slight difference reaching 28 and 27 respectively.

Second, France and Australia in 1978 were significantly quite close in addition, the last 10 years France declined steadily to 8% than Australia. salary between men and women in Australia rose gradually to 25% in 2008.
