Overall, men had higher percentages in Japan, Switzerland and Britain, while women had higher figures in the United States and Germany. Also, Switzerland and Germany had the highest numbers, while Japan had the lowest.
In the countries where men had higher results, the difference was not very big. In Japan, about 30% of men had higher education, compared to around 25% of women. In Britain, about 35% of men achieved this level, while the figure for women was about 30%. In Switzerland, the gap was larger, with around 45% of men and about 35% of women.
On the other hand, women had higher percentages in the United States and Germany. In the United States, about 40% of women had higher education, while men were at around 35%. Germany had the highest number of educated women, at about 45%, while men were lower at around 35%.
