The bar chaet illustrates the difference of proportion of people choosing different kinds of transport for different purposes in the UK in 2013.

Overall, bus was always useful for people to do the four things. It is clear that only a few people chose other means as their transportation

As for education, the proportion of pepole choosing walking was 25%, lower than that of bus and car (both were 30%) and only around 5% percent of people took train. In terms of work, 45% people went to work by car but only 5% walk to work place. Meanwhile, the figure for bus and train was both 25%.

In contrast, walking was the most popular way for people to have a leisure at the percentage of 35%. Bus was ranked second at 25% and train and car was last at both 10%. Shopping showed relatively balanced, people most like car as transportation at 30%. The percentage of train, bus and walking was 15%, 20% and 25% separately.

The figure for other kinds of transport was very low at 10% except of the purpose of working at 5%.
