Overall, women showed the highest proportion of people eating fruits and vegetables throughout the given period, while, children recorded the lowest figures. All three groups presented the growth over the period, although there were some fluctuations.
The percentage of women consuming started at just over 20% in 2001, gradually increased, reaching its highest peak at slightly above 30% in 2006, before declining in 2007 and 2008.
Conversely, the figures for men and children remained relatively stable during first three years at around 15% and above 10%, respectively. The percentage of children consuming fruit and vegetables peaked in 2007, at slightly above 25%.
