The proportion of women who consumed fruit and vegetables stood at just over 20% in 2001. This figure rose steadily to a peak of approximately 30% in 2006, before declining gradually to around 30% in 2008.
For men and children, the figure remained relatively stable during the first three years, at about 17% and 12% respectively. Thereafter, the percentage of men increased steadily, reaching a high of around 25% in 2006 and 2007, before falling slightly in the final year. A similar upward trend was observed among children, with the figure rising to approximatley 25% in 2007, before declining marginally to about 24% in 2008.
