These two diagrams give us information on how people that have reached maturity and got a daily job, devoted their time to a different range of activities in 1958 and 2008. In the middle of the last century adults were spending almost the same amount of day time on sleeping and working but in 50 years there have been changes that have led to more work and less sleep, and also the percentage of time spent out with freinds and families has decreased.

If we look more precisely, we can see that people in this country in 1958 used to sleep for about one-third of their day time but in 2008 their sleep became shorter by almost two hours. Therefore adults half a century ago went out with others for nearly 5 hours daily but in twenty years this aspect has decreased by 13 percent. In 2008 people have started to dedicate more time to relaxing at home while fifty yers ago they used to rest at home for about two hours that is less by one hour. Time needed for travelling to work has grown dramatically from 2 to 8 percent. In 1958 working people did their job for 8 hours and in 2008 time spent on working process has increased by nine percent.

The only percentage that remained the same is the percentage of time spent on other things not related to work, sleep, going out and chilling at home. Overall in the distant past citizens had more free time and worked less
