The graph illustrates the proportion of the UK citizens who consumed recommended daily quantity of fruit and vegetables in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
Overall, it is evident in this chart that women are the predominant in the comsumption of fruits and vegetables all over the periods given, recording more than both men and children. However, percentage of all of them witnessed a fluctuation throughout.
First, it is clear that the amount of women who consumes fruits and vegetables raised by around 7 percent from 25 percent in 2002 and peaked at 2006 by 32 percent in 2006 just before it droped back to 27 percent in 2010. Moreover, the part of man who eat fruit and vegetables experienced the same trend throughout, between 2002 and 2006, it increased slightly from 22 percent to 28 percent and then fell back in 2010 to 24 percent.
On the other hand, from 2002 to 2006 the number of children eating fruits and vegetables rise first by 5 percent and decreased slightly again in 2010 to 14 percent.
