Looking at the decreases first, building industry was only 5% in 1997, which was the sector that used the lowest amount of water, and it declined slightly from 5% to 2% by 2007. The pre-last sector which experienced a noticeable decrease was manufacturing with 15% of water used in 1997, and this percentage dropped to 11% in 2007, making it the second lowest amount of water used. The last sector that went down was food industry, starting with 48% of water usage in 1997 and declining to 41% in 2007. Despite this decrease, the food industry sector led the chart.
The increases were seen in two sectors: service industry and household use. In 1997, service industry was the sector that showed the pre-lowest percentage of water usage with 13%. After a decade, this sector witnessed a dramatical increase to 25%, which was the biggest increase in the given time. Household use sector was 19% in 1997, and it went up slightly to 21% within a decade.
