The bar chart illustrates the percentage of females working as six different jobs in 2007 and 2009.
Overall, women who worked as managers, sales workers, and teachers showed an upward trend, while those who worked as farmers and service workers witnessed a decline. Nevertheless, the percentage of female production workers remained unchanged. In addition, female farmers’ percentage recorded the highest in 2007, and it underwent the most significant change.
To begin with, the percentage of women working as sales workers saw a significant growth, rising from 10% in 2007 to 20% in 2009, while this figure for female managers rose moderately, from around 13% to 15%. Noticeably, although the figure for women who worked as teachers increased sharply, from 5% in 2007 to around 8% in 2009, it was consistently the lowest among all six.
In contrast, female farmers’ percentage decreased remarkably from 30% in 2007 to 20% in 2009. Likewise, female service workers’ number witnessed a relatively moderate drop, from 25% in 2007 to 20% in 2009. Notably, female production workers remained unchanged in these two years, representing 15%.
