Going into details, the proportion of Internet users in shopping led the chart with 40 percent and 55 percent of people using it in 2007 and 2009 respectively, rendering it the most popular activity at that time. Moreover, the percent of Internet users in banking comprised around 30 percent in 2007, then increased to nearly 45 percent in 2009. Books accounted for the percentage of Internet users nearly same as banking; however, it decreased to 30 percent in the next two years.
The fraction of internet users in chatting saw a modest increase from 25 percent to approximately 30 percent during the two given years. Internet users’ portion in video games and TV shared the same pattern, both rose from roughly 10 percent to 20 percent. By contrast, the percentage of Internet users in learning showed a downward trend, declining from 35 percent to 30 percent.
