The bar chart illustrates the proportion of Malaysian males and females who engaged in regular exercise, according to six different age groups.
Overall, it is clear that women were more active in exercising than their male counterparts, with the exception of the 15-24 age group. Moreover, for both genders, those aged 65 and above showed almost identical participation rates.
Focusing on the youngest age group first, 15-24, the percentage of men who exercised regularly was higher, at approximately 52%, compared to 48% for females.
In the remaining age groups, from 25 to 64, the proportion of women engaging in regular exercise was nearly consistent, at about 40%, while men were generally less active than women, with participation rates exceeding 50%.
As for the oldest age group, 65 and over, both genders showed identical participation rates, with approximately 48% for each.
