The bar chart given compares the percentage of Malaysian men and women who are constant exercisers according to their age group.
From an overall perspective, it can be seen that females make up a higher proportion compared to the males in all age groups with the exception of 15 to 24-aged men who are more physically active. People who are 65 and over exercise almost equally.
The percentage of men aged 15 to 24 is about 52%, while females are approximately 48%. However, male adults 25 to 34 make up a much lower proportion, differing from females by about 8 percentage points, having 41 and 49, respectively. Males continue decreasing exercising as they get older, 35 to 44, having just under 40% while females have a percentage of over 51.
The percentage of male exercise increases by almost 2 percentage points in the next two age groups, whereas females stay relatively stable at around 52%. People of both genders aged 65 or plus do equal physical activity making a proportion of approximately 47%.
