The chart illustrates the outcomes of a European survey into teenagers’ expectations for in 5 various fields of life in the next 2 decades. They were asked whether they expected things would develop or get worse.
Overall, it is clear that young people predicted that almost all areas of life, including quality of food, water, health and air in cities would get worse whereas communication between people will improve.
Most youngsters believed that there will be an improvement in communication between people. However, a slight difference was seen in predictions of youths regarding the quality of food with 49 percent for improvement and 51 percent for decrease respectively.
In terms of the quality of water and medication, the expectation of young people were almost the same with difference of just 2 percent. 60% and 58 % of teenagers thought that things would get worse while 40% and 42% of them believed that there would be enhancements in these fields. Finally, just under a quarter of adults expected to see an improvement in quality of air in urban areas. In contrast, just over three-quarters of them said that a decline would be observed.
