Overall, almost all of the call types were increased and had a lot of changes. Also The main methods of communication in UK were local-fixed line, national and international-fixed line and mobiles.
The most popular calls are local calls . in this 7 years period local calls had a many huge changes. foe example from 1995 to 1999 they are has sharply rising, in this period local calls had their highest significance 90 billion minutes. But from 1999 they very quicly decreased , approximately by about 5 or 6 billions each year. And in the end they stopped at also 70 billions .
National and international calls also showed a steady growth during this period. In 1995 they were about 38 billion minutes and then gradually increased every year. By 1999 this number reached around 50 billions and continued rising to about 60â62 billions in 2002. Mobiles had the biggest change, starting from only 2 or 3 billion minutes in 1995. After 1998 they increased very quickly, reaching about 25 billions in 2000, then around 40 billions in 2001 and finally about 45 billions in 2002.
In conclusion, local calls were the most popular but they decreased after 1999, while national and international calls increased steadily and mobiles showed the fastest growth among all categories.
