The bar chart compares the export revenues of a certain country across five different categories: petroleum products, engineered goods, gems and jewellery, agricultural products and textiles, while the table illustrates the exact proportion of variation in each exporting category between 2015 and 2016.
Overall, it is noticeable from the graphs that the earning exports in all sectors experienced an upward trend, especially in textiles, whereas, the opposite was true for the figure for gems and jewellery. Additionally, the export revenue earned from petroleum products remained the highest among all categories over the given period.
Getting back to the details, income earned from exporting petroleum products was the highest, which slightly rose from $60 billion in 2015 to about $63 billion in 2016. The figure for engineered goods also recorded an increase from roughly $58 billion to approximately $62 billion, meanwhile the figure for agricultural products remained relatively stable at around $31billion throughout the period, despite minimal growth. At around $26 billion in 2016, the revenue generated from exporting textile surged to nearly $32 billion in 2016, whereas, the share for gems and jewellery experienced a drop from around $43 billion in 2015 to roughly $41billion in 2016.
Regarding the table, at 15.24%, textile witnessed the most significant rise in the percentage of value, followed by engineered goods at 8.5%. The proportion of value change in petroleum products and agricultural products documented a lower increase, at 3% and 0.81%, respectively. Conversely, there was a considerable fall of 5.18% in the figure for gems and jewellery.
