Overall, the most noticeable interest among respondents was to football during the whole period of 10 years. In addition, the proportion rose gradually from 1995 to 2005 in about 4%. In contrast, the respondents’ engagement into tennis dropped sharply in 2000 and was staying on the same level until 2005, exactly 23%.
The least proportion of people chose swimming in the earliest survey, 23%. Nevertheless, after the dramatic increase to 29% in 2000 it decreased to 26% in 2005. Conversely, interest in rugby saw a drop in about 5% in 2000, but then it rapidly grew to its highest position, in region of 27%, in 2005. The same happened with snooker, which saw a sharp fall from 30% to 22% interested humans in 2000 but grew to 24% in 2005 afterwards. Golf is the most stable among all sports because it stays in region of 25-27% in ten years.
To sum up, the most popular for respondents sport always was football because more than 40% mentioned it. The least interesting was swimming in 1995 but in 2005 the proportion of respondents who chose it rose to 25%. In the end, the smallest minority liked tennis in 2005, about 23%, although it was on the second position after football in 1995.
