The bar chart displays the household spending on food , transportation , housing and entertainment in 2000 and 2020 in nation Y .
Overall , it is clear that food and entertainment both showed significant decreases , whereas spending on housing and transport increased.
In 2000 , food accounted for the highest data in country Y – which reached about 48%. . followed closely by housing at 39%, transport at 31% and entertainment at just under one third. By 2020, food had a dramatic drop to 34% and entertainment decreased to 21%.
Conversely, housing had a slight increase- which was about 41% and transport to around 32%. This shows a shift in household expenses towards essential costs.
