The bar chart illustrates information about distribution of population in four different age categories between 2020 and 2050.Overall,the proportion of older people rising steadily whereas the share of youth declines.The middle age population remains as the largest group,however it saw some fluctuations.
In 2020 the 25-54 age group accounted for at the highest proportion,which is around 40% followed by the 55 and over category at roughly 35%.The youngest group consists of quarter of population,which those aged 15-24 made up the smallest proportion at just under 20%.
By 2030 the percentage of people aged 25-54 is expected a slight decrease to just about 30% ,in contrast the young generation will rise to almost 31%.Both older and 15-24 range age group will experience a gradual decline by almost 12 and 19 percent respectively.
This trend continues over the following decades.By 2050 the working age population is expected to have almost the half of the population .55 and over is projected to surpass 15-24 years olds,reaching about 10%.The second highest proportion of population will belong to the youngest age of group (0-14) .
