The graph presents the percent of 8 various professions held by each gender in the UK during 2007.
Overall, while some jobs like teaching and therapists were greatly dominated by females, men had a considerably higher presence in construction. Others were more balanced with a slight male domination.
Journalism was the only profession that had an identical ratio between men and women with a perfect 50% indication for each sex. Advertising closely followed with its minor inbalance (more females). Teaching and construction were completely opposite to each other and most inbalanced sectors with women accounting up to 90 percent in teaching, while around 90 percent construction positions were occupied by males. Scientists and law were relatively balanced but showed noticable higher level of occupation in men (60% and 65%, respectively).
Overall, some jobs had complete distinct ratio between two genders, whereas journalism remained equal in both. Both scientists and law indicated quite similar patterns, with slight favor for males.
