The graph is illustrating the variations in prices of three metals namely, copper, nickel, and zink during the year 2014. The prices of copper and zinc have seen slight variations while the price of nickel on the hand had fluctuated quite a bit.
The price of nickel was on the rise quite sharply during the first couple of months, increasing on an average of 5% comapred to previous months. Then it noticed a steep decline on July, falling by 3%. The price continued to decline till October, after which it noticed a slight increase during November and December. Zinc also followed a similar trend, where its price was on the rise, albeit not as sharply as nickel. There was a slight decrease in its price during June through October after which it similarly noticed a slight increase.
The price of copper on the other hand followed a different trend as it noticed a slight increase during the second half of the year but otherwise quite similar to that of nickel.
