The bar chart compares the actual and expected number of people in three different regions in the years 1990 and 2000.
Overall, Sao Paulo had the highest population compared to other cities in the given period of 10 years. In addition, all countries surpassed the expected population in the year 2000.
In 1990, the highest population number accounted for approximately 17 million in Sao Paulo, while the least populations were in Jakarta, and Shanghai at around 7 million for each. It was expected that there will a significant increase in terms of population in every country except Shanghai.
By 2000, Sao Paulo remained in the highest level with roughly 24 million people, while Jakarta’s population went up at 12 million, which was half of Sao Paulo’s population in 2000. Throughout the year of 2000, although it was projected that Shanghai’s population saw a decline, the population rose rapidly just under 15 million.
