The bar chart provides data about the actual and predicted figures of population of three cities, namely Jakarta, Sao Paulo and Shanghai from 1990 to 2000.
It is obvious from the chart that there was an increased trend in both actual and expected quantity of citizens across three cities. While the population in Sao Paulo was the highest, the figure for Jakarta ranked lowest over the 10 years.
Starting from the initial year, more and more people decided to settle down in Sao Paulo, about 16 million. Conversely, the figure for Jakarta was only over 8 million, a half of Sao Paulo’s population. The number of people who lived in Shanghai was nearly 12 million in 1990.
By 2000, there was a predicted survey about population across these cities. In Sao Paulo, the real population was over 24 million compared to the expected figures [22 million]. Moreover, although there was similar predicted data about population in both Jakarta and Shanghai, around 11 million, the number of people living in Shanghai was effectively higher than Jakarta’s figure, about nearly 15 million and 13 million respectively.
