The provided bar chart compares four different cities, namely Los Angeles, Calcutta, Beijing and Mexico City in terms of the average emission of two air contaminant, SO2 and NO2 per day in 2000.
Overall, Mexico City had the highest of all categories for the average emission of two air pollutants in the year 2000. Meanwhile, there was the least amount of SO2 in total in Los Angeles and the lowest amount of N2O on average was recorded in Beijing.
Compared to the amount of SO2 in total, Mexico City had the highest amount ranging from min was 80 micrograms per m3 to max was 200, followed by a significantly lower figure in Beijing, maximum in 100 micrograms per m3 quadrupled minimum. There was not much different between max and min in amount of SO2 in average in Calcutta, approximately 50 micrograms per m3. Los Angeles underwent the lowest amount in average with 2 micrograms in minimum and 10 micrograms in maximum.
Meanwhile, compared to the amount of N2O in average in cities, Mexico City was also the biggest producer of N2O with the total emission of two air contaminant, per day from 113 to 207, double to the total amount in Los Angeles. Whereas Calcutta and Beijing share nearly the same max, 52 micrograms and 54 micrograms, respectively, while min in Beijing was 14 micrograms per m3 as half as lower than Calcutta.
