The graph illustrates how much carbs were consumed by AN AVERAGE RESIDENT DAILY across four specific nations.
Overall, rice was the most consumed carb in every state except for the Philippines, in which individuals preferred bread the most. It is also reported that the daily consumption of potatoes was the smallest regardless of country.
Looking first at rice, this cab generally has the highest daily intake in every country, except for the Philippines. To be specific, Vietnam and Thailand recorded particularly high daily rice intake, with their figures nearly equal, at around 95 grams. In the second place is the Philippines, where, although rice is not the most preferred scratch, it still has a consumption level slightly lower than that of Vietnam and Thailand, at just under 90 grams. The per day amounts of rice consumed in the remaining nations are also considerably high, with their figures slightly above 80 grams.
Turning to bread, although this carb’s daily consumption varies, it generally falls between rice and potatoes. At the top of the list with the highest bread consumption, at around 87 grams per day, is the Philippines. Despite not being the most prioritized staple for daily meals in Vietnam, bread still records a significantly high intake, just slightly lower than that of the Philippines. Lastly, residents in the remaining nations consumed bread in amounts ranging from just over 60 grams to slightly under 80 grams each day, with Thailand having the lowest figure among five nations surveyed.
Potatoes have the lowest per day consumption in all countries, with figures ranging from just below 40 grams in Thailand to around 70 grams in the Philippines. Noticeably, Thailand is the only nation to record the largest consumption gap between rice and potatoes, with the rice intake double that of potatoes in this country.
