The pie charts illustrate the percentage of people using different modes of transportation namely cars, bus, bicycle, trains to travel to a university for work or study in different years (2004 and 2009). At first glance, it is evident that the car is one of the most relevant modes of transportation in 2004, while buses are chosen best in 2009.

First, it had experienced significant growth in buses, rising to 46% in 2009, while the use of cars decreased to 28% over the same period. Meanwhile, bicycles grew modestly from 9% to 16%, walking and trains rose slightly during the five-year period.

In 2004, the majority of people (51%) used cars, making it the most common mode of transport. Other modes of transportation also saw changes. The proportion of individuals walking rose from 4% in 2004 to 6% in 2009, while those traveling by train increased slightly from 3% to 4%.
