The bar chart illustrates how many kilometres that travellers went by five different modes of transportation in the Uk between 1990 and 2000.
Overall, it is obvious that the total journey distances witnessed a significant increase during the 10-year period. While the number of people who used bicycles for travelling was the lowest in both years, the quantity of the bus was more well-known for visitors so that it always held a relatively high position.
In 1990, the figure for visitors using bicycles, motorbike, and air for going around the UK was just under 10 billion kilometers; however, the number of passengers prefer travelling by bus and rail so that they were just under 50 billion kilometers. Consequently, it helped the total number up to more than 100 billion kilometres which was almost equal to the sum of the two means combined. In 2000, there was an improvement in transport modes. Since the figure for travelling by bus and train had a tendency to increase, while the number of people going by train was higher than by bus, about 3 billion kilometers. As a result, the total also went up to 10 billion in 2000.
