The bar chart illustrates the total distance(billions of kilometers) travelled by transport users on five different of means in the year 1990 and 2000 in the UK. In general, bus was the kind of transport used mostly in two given years and the opposite was true of the bicycle. Additionally, distances travelled on all types of transport witnessed a downward trend after 10 years, except for rail.
In 1990, it was clear that air and bicycle were rarely used and were not popular with residents in the UK with only two billion kilometers. Following closely behind was the intervale of motorbike users ( nearly three billion kilometers). In contrast rail and bus were two means of revelent transport with 57 and 39 billion kilometers respectively).
After 10 years, there was a slight fluctuation about the position of the order of means used. While rail use rose by approximately 6 billion kilometers compared to 1990. Bus had the same figure with rail in this year. Air increased to about 2 billion kilometers, but the distances of bicycle and motorbike were less than 1 billion kilometers compared with the year 1990.
