The bar chart summerises the information on ages of individuals at the time when they got married in one country in the years of 1996 and 2008. Number of people respective to each age category is given in percentages with one interval and the ages range from 16 to 44 years.
Overall, more females have got married in the earlier ages which rages from 16- 25 and males take over the trend from 30 – 44 years of ages, and it is commonly observed in both 1996 and 2008 data. When comparing the two years, many of both the genders have increased age of getting married by 2008.
When considering the year 1996, females in the 25-29 age category reports to be the highest in number compared to the rest of the age ranges which is recorded as just below 12%. Further, among males, it is the 30-34 age category that has the peak number of getting married which is around around 9%. Looking at the data in 2008, it is apparent that the majority of females which turns to be just below 12%, that is similar to 1996, has got married in the ages of 25-29. Highest number of men (around 11%) have got married in 30-34 years of age in the above year. In summary, the age of getting married in the majority of men and women have incresed in 20088 compared to 1996.
