The bar graphs illustrate the percentages of males and females across different age groups in France and India in 1984.
Overall, it can be observed that the percentages of males and females in India generally decreased across successive age groups. Only in the oldest age group did the percentages increase.
Looking at the first graph, it is evident that the highest percentages in France were recorded for both males and females aged between 30 and 35, reaching about 4% for each gender. Meanwhile, in the over-85 age group, both genders showed the lowest proportions, at under 1% for males and approximately 1.5% for females.
Turning to the second graph, the youngest age group in India witnessed the highest figures for males and females, accounting for roughly 7% and nearly 6.5%, respectively. The proportions declined steadily to around 1% for both genders in the 65-70 age group before rising to approximately 1.5% in the over-70 age group.
