Overall, the proportion of protected plant species predominate the entire chart, while critically endangered plants ranked last in the surveyed chart. Also of note is that tropical wet forests witness the highest risk of plant extinction.
According to the former, more than half of plant species in the world are in safe condition(64.10%), far exceeding the 20.44% of vulnerable plants. Endangered and critically endangered plants account for negligible parts of the total chart, with 6.92% and 3.92%, respectively.
Focusing on the latter, 63% of endangered plants reside in tropical wet forests, nearly six times as much as the figure for tropical dry forests. The data for dry savanna, tropical dry grassland, and wetlands are much lower, with 7.7%,4.5%, and 4.3%, respectively. Tropical wet grassland and desert experience the least extinction level of plant species, with the figure for each not surpassing 1%.
