Besides, people who are more than 55 years old also added 10 percentage points to their proportion, staying as the second highest group in 2003 with 26 percent. Moreover, 16-24 years old travellers had an astonishing incline, nearly quadrupling the small 4 percent in 1983 to 15 percent in 2003.
Secondly, people from 25 to 54 years old took up 70 percentage points of the summed up number of Spain’s visitors from the UK. However, it dropped to just 47 percent in 2003, with the 35-54 age group experiencing the biggest downfall. The said group fell by 15 percentage points, stopping at 35 percent but remained the one with the most proportion.
