The provided charts compare dairy production of four different products across the top three world’s producers in 2012, measured in metric tons (MT). Overall, milk topped the table with dominant figures, and the European Union was the only producer appearing in the top three world producers of all products.
The European Union, India, and the United States shared the highest standings with regard to the production of milk and butter. Specifically, the EU produced the most prominent amount of milk (142,970 MT), followed by 127,000 MT of India, while the figure for the US ranked third with roughly over 90,000 MT. However, when it comes to butter, a rank swap was witnessed when India’s production outnumbered that of the US three to one (7,500 MT compared to 2,040 MT), both of which outnumbered the figure for the US (810 MT).
In terms of the remaining categories, the EU recorded the predominant cheese production (7,120 MT), which was approximately 1.5 times higher than the amount made in the US (4,925 MT). Meanwhile, Brazil saw a far more modest figure (700 MT), equal to one-seventh that for the latter nation. The lowest milk power production in the top three was observed in the EU, at only 770 MT, while New Zealand closely followed China (1,110 MT compared to 1,200 MT).
