The given charts provide data on the top three countries which manufactured the most amount of milk, cheeses, butter and milk powder in the year 2012.
It is evident that the European Union was in the top three for each category, prevailing in production of milk and cheese, meanwhile the US was placed in the list only for milk, cheeses and butter.As regards, India became the first in butter production and second by milk category, whereas China, New Zealand and Brazil got into the list of best producers only for one category each.
More specifically, the EU exceeded in two categories,manufacturing about 150,000 MT of milk and roughly 7,000 of cheese. At the same time, the European countries were left behind by competitors in production of butter and milk powder, becoming the second-ranked and third-ranked, respectively.
In detail, in 2012 India produced approximately 40,000 metric tons of milk more than the US,having the second place in the top-three.Furthermore, the same figure can be seen in butter manufacturing, where the quantity of product by India was almost six times as much as the United States produced in this year. Additionally,the number of cheese produced in the US was accounted for around 5,000.
Moreover, Brazil was placed in the third place for cheese production, making only 700 of this product.In addition, in the milk powder category China became the first, producing 1,200 MT of this dairy product, whereas New Zealand was left behind by 100MT,ranking the second.
