The bar chart compared the top three manufactures in the world regarding the amount of four dairy goods they produced in 2012.
Overall, milk became the dominant product out of the four among all producers, while an opposite pattern was seen for butter. Notably, the EU held the lion’s share in the production volumes of milk and cheese, whereas the largest amount of butter and milk powder was produced by India and China, respectively.
Regarding the first two products, 142.970 metric tons of milk was manufactured by the EU, exceeding the data for India by approximately 16.000 metric tons and that of the USA by over 50.000 metric tons. In cheese production, the EU remained the leading position, with the figure standing at 7.120 metric tons, significantly ten times higher than that of Brazil, at 700 metric tons, followed by 4.925 metric tons for the US.
Turning to the two remaining types of dairy goods, India witnessed 7.500 metric tons of manufactured butter, with the EU ranking second at the list, reaching 2.040 thousand kilograms, compared to just 810 metric tons in the US. Additionally, by creating 1.200 metric tons of milk powder, China’s figure became the highest among 3 nations, considerably 110 metric tons higher than that of New Zealand, at 1.100 thousand kilograms, in comparison with 770 metric tons registered for the EU.
