The charts delineate statistical information regarding the top three global producers of four distinct dairy products during the year 2012.
The EU was the leading producer of milk alongside cheese, while India led in butter production and China in milk powder production. Milk production significantly exceeded that of other dairy products, whereas milk powder production was the lowest.
Further analysis demonstrates that the EU held the leading position in milk production, producing 142,970 metric tons, considerably more than India and the USA, which produced approximately 16,000 and 50,000 metric tons less, respectively. In cheese production, the EU’s output of 7,120 metric tons was substantially greater than the US production of 4,925 metric tons and Brazil’s significantly lower production of 700 metric tons.
India secured the top position in butter production with an output of 7,500 metric tons, more than triple that of the US. Although a prominent dairy manufacturer, the EU trailed behind China and New Zealand in milk powder production, producing 770 metric tons compared to China’s 1,200 metric tons and New Zealand’s 1,110 metric tons.
