The bar chart compares the proportions of people based on their age group who are injured at their workplace and categorizes causes of injuries in terms of type of industry (education and health, leisure and hospitality, manufacturing, and mining and construction). This data is for a certain country, collected in 2018.
Overall, It was more likely that elderly people were harmed in both education and health and leaisure and hospitality, while youngest age bracket unfortunately had the highest chance of suffering from an injury in mining and construction.
The percentages of those injureds between 25 and 34 in all industries were never higher than 25%, whereas this group faced least injuries in education and health, with just 5%. Regarding manufacturing sector, the figure for middle aged (from 35 to 49) stood at 35%, which is higher than any other sectors for this age group. Moreover, youngest and oldest age groups had 40% and 35% injuries, respectively, in mining and construction which is much higher compared to the two middle groups are markedly lower, at 15% (25-34) and 10% (35-49). As graph shows, the probability of injuries increased by around 7% with every rise in age bracket in leisure and hospitality.
